"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood."- Fred Rogers. STEAM toys are becoming a huge part of the toy market and many toys are being developed for all age-levels to provide opportunities to explore STEAM. Learn about several of the new products out there which encourage learning through exploration and play. Find your inner child and play with some of our own STEAM toys that can be used in classrooms in any subject area. These toys are tools in a child's world and open opportunities for STEAM exploration and skill building. This workshop is offered in both BYOD and MITI formats. The registration fee for the MITI format includes the cost of the workshop AND the device/resources. The BYOD format includes only the cost of the workshop, the attendee is solely responsible for securing the required resources listed on the website.
